Our Part of Queensland

If you are not a local resident, you might like to consider holidaying in our area. On these pages you will find a brief description of our Wide Bay region with links to many of our attractions.

The climate here is quite moderate all year round – Summer rarely goes much over 30-32 deg Celsius and Winter daytime temperatures generally rise to around 15 deg Celsius or better. There can be extremes beyond these limits of course but when they occur they are normally short lived.

We are situated about three hours (approximately 260kms) drive north of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway. The region can be accessed by air from Sydney or Brisbane, by Queensland Rail or by interstate and intrastate Coach Services.
